1. The Bound Morpheme (واژک)

A Bound Morpheme is a phoneme string that has no autonomous own meaning, but is used in one of the following processes:

  1. In the derivation.
  2. In the declension (in the New Persian grammar only to assign the formative or determinative status of nouns, see 1•3. The Conjugational Flexive).

Therefore, bound morphemes are in opposition to free morphemes, which are also used for derivation, but are also used in the New Persian Language as autonomous lexemes with complete meanings.
